A SENATE RESOLUTION

HONORING AND THANKING AIKEN COUNTY SHERIFF MICHAEL HUNT FOR HIS LEADERSHIP, COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION, PATRIOTISM, AND COMMUNITY SERVICE.

Whereas, Aiken County Sheriff Michael Hunt and the Aiken County Sheriff's Department are committed to working with all segments of the community, as well as, all areas of the criminal justice system, with renewed openness and responsiveness; and

Whereas, Sheriff Hunt encourages the Aiken County Sheriff's Department to provide the highest level of professional law enforcement services; and

Whereas, Sheriff Hunt reinforces a sense of discipline and determination in maintaining physical health through training and positive health practices; and

Whereas, for the past three years, Sheriff Hunt has encouraged the Aiken County Sheriff's Department to affiliate with the Aiken Boxing Club Youth Development Center as a Police Athletic League in an effort to deter Aiken County youth from crime, assisting club directors Wanda and Leroy Green in creating a new leadership program. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate honor and thank Aiken County Sheriff Michael Hunt for his leadership, commitment to education, patriotism, and community service.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Sheriff Michael Hunt.
