TO CONGRATULATE GLORIA L. FREEMAN OF CHAPIN UPON BEING CHOSEN THE 2008 ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA SOCIETY OF ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVES.
Whereas, Gloria L. Freeman of Chapin has been selected as the 2008 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives; and
Whereas, this award is the profession's top honor, and has been bestowed upon only twenty-two association executives since 1985; and
Whereas, Gloria has served as an association executive for thirty years for the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, consistently providing the membership of the South Carolina Manufacturer's Alliance with the highest level of customer service, dedication, and loyalty; and
Whereas, Gloria has served on the South Carolina Society of Association Executives Board of Directors, and is recognized among her peers as a leader and an expert in her field. This dedicated service has brought positive professional attention to herself and to her profession both on a national and statewide basis; and
Whereas, Gloria has demonstrated success not only within her profession, but also as a devoted wife, mother, Sunday school teacher, church council leader, and volunteer for the Heart Association, Cancer Society, and Relay for Life; and
Whereas, she is Vice-President and Secretary to the Board of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, and is a loyal, professional, and outstanding individual. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Gloria L. Freeman of Chapin upon being chosen the 2008 Association Executive of the Year by the South Carolina Society of Association Executives.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Gloria L. Freeman.
