A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 11-35-420 SO AS TO REQUIRE THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN ON ITS WEBSITE A REGISTER OF ALL VENDORS WHO HAVE BEEN AWARDED NO-BID PROCUREMENT CONTRACTS BY THE BOARD AND THE BASIC TERMS OF EACH CONTRACT AWARDED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Subarticle 7, Article 1, Chapter 35, Title 11 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 11-35-420.    The board shall establish and maintain on its website a register of all vendors who have been awarded no-bid procurement contracts by the board. The register must provide, at a minimum, the name and address of the vendor awarded the contract and the basic terms of the procurement."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor and applies for contracts awarded on or after that date.
