VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND CONGRATULATE THE BOYS SWIM TEAM OF THE J.L. MANN HIGH SCHOOL PATRIOTS FOR CAPTURING THE 2007 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO COMMEND THE SWIMMERS AND COACHES FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL SEASON AND STATE VICTORY.
Whereas, on October 13, 2007, the J.L. Mann boys swim team brought its successful season to a close by taking the 2007 Class AAA State Championship trophy in Columbia; and
Whereas, using their athletic talents and years of experience, Coach Darryn Norton and Assistant Coach Phillip Caston have instilled in the J.L. Mann swimmers the qualities of sportsmanship and perseverance necessary to produce a State championship team; and
Whereas, through agility, speed, and economy of strength, the J.L. Mann boys swim team has garnered the 2007 Class AAA Championship title after months of rigorous training and demanding practices led by their coaches; and
Whereas, the 2007 title for J.L. Mann is even more prized because it marked the sixth State Championship for the Patriot swim team in seven years, an impressive accomplishment; and
Whereas, the boys swim team Patriots have brought significant pride and recognition to their school and community through their continued efforts; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pleasure in recognizing the swimmers of the J.L. Mann High School boys swim team for their determination and perseverance and expect to hear of continued success in seasons to come. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives recognize and congratulate the boys swim team of the J. L. Mann High School Patriots for capturing the 2007 Class AAA State Championship title, and commend the swimmers and coaches for an exceptional season and state victory.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Susan Hughes and Coach Darryn Norton.
