VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
RECOGNIZING TIMOTHY SCOTT RAMSEY AND HIS FOUR AND ONE-HALF YEARS OF INVALUABLE SERVICE TO THE STATE SENATE AND THE PEOPLE OF SOUTH CAROLINA UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS CHIEF OF STAFF TO THE MAJORITY LEADER AND TO THE MEDICAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, AND WISHING HIM SUCCESS IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, Timothy Scott Ramsey, a native of Gaffney, South Carolina began his service in the South Carolina Senate in January 2003 as Chief of Staff to Senator Harvey S. Peeler, chairman of the Medical Affairs Committee; and
Whereas, Scott Ramsey, born May 9, 1968 is the son of Bobby and Joann Ramsey, graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate, married his high school sweetheart, Tressa and they are the parents of three young children, Thomas, Mary Catherine, and Lillian Grace; and
Whereas, "Judge" Ramsey served as Chief Magistrate in Cherokee County prior to joining the staff of the Senate Medical Affairs Committee; and
Whereas, he has been a loyal and faithful employee of the Senate and his professionalism and easy-going nature will be missed by all; and
Whereas, Scott Ramsey will be leaving his employment with the Senate to assume the role as legislative liaison for the School for the Deaf and Blind. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, recognize Timothy Scott Ramsey and his invaluable service to the State Senate and the people of South Carolina, and wish him success in all his future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Scott Ramsay.
