VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
DESIGNATING THE WEEK OF APRIL 22 THROUGH APRIL 29, 2007, THE WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD, AND ENCOURAGING ALL CITIZENS TO WORK TO MAKE A GOOD INVESTMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD.
Whereas, the Troy-Johnson Learning Korner and other local organizations, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young Children, are celebrating the Week of the Young Child, April 22 through April 29, 2007; and
Whereas, these organizations are working to improve early learning opportunities, which are crucial to the growth and development of young children, and to building better futures for everyone in Marion County, South Carolina; and
Whereas, all young children and their families across the country and in Marion County, South Carolina deserve access to high-quality early education and care; and
Whereas, in recognizing and supporting the people, programs and policies that are committed to high-quality early childhood education as the right choice for children. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, designate April 22 through April 29, 2007, The Week of Young Children, and encourage all citizens to work to make a good investment in early childhood.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Troy-Johnson Learning Korner.
