The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Luke 1:37: "For nothing will be impossible with God."
Let us pray. Lord, when you tap me for Your work, give me the faith to say yes, here I am Lord. Give me the faith and confidence to do the task assigned with the best I have within me. Grant me rest and refreshment on the weekend and a ready attitude to do my duty for the next week. Look in favor upon our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker and all who serve in these halls of government. Hold our defenders of freedom in Your arms and protect them as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.
