Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 22:19: "But you, O Lord, be not far off; O my strength, come quickly to help me."
Let us pray. Comforting God, be with each today as we conclude a stressful and tiring week of duties and responsibilities. You have been our strength and we give You thanks. Continue to be our guide this day as we work for the people. Grant us a relaxed and restful weekend and provide us the strength and will for another week. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker and all who serve in these halls of government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:15 a.m. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 20.
