Our thought for today is from Psalm 27:14: "Wait for the Lord, be strong, and let your heart take courage, and wait for the Lord."
Let us pray. Loving and powerful God, we come to You waiting to be blessed and forgiven. In You we trust for guidance and strength to carry out the duties and responsibilities of our assigned task. Give us patience in dealing with others and help us to be helpful. Give us a restful weekend and strength to take care of our own. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker and all who serve in government and in private enterprise. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.
