The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Habakkuk 3:19: "The sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights."
Let us pray. Lord God, keep us mindful that without You we can do nothing. Keep our faith alive and well, and give us strength to serve You faithfully. Go with us as we leave for the weekend. Refresh us to continue to serve You and the people of this State. Look in favor upon our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff and all who serve in government and private enterprise. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.
