The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from I Timothy 4:7: "Have nothing to do with profane myths and old wives tales. Train yourself in Godliness."
Let us pray. Give us strength, O God, to live so that our actions do not deny our faith. Guide us to make it easier for those around us to have faith in You, our loving Lord. Encourage us to be examples that help others to do good deeds. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, this Honorable Assembly, and all who labor in these Halls of Government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. In the name of our Lord. Amen.
