A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-530, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN YORK COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE AND ADD CERTAIN VOTING PRECINCTS OF YORK COUNTY, AND TO REDESIGNATE A MAP NUMBER FOR THE MAP ON WHICH LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED AND MAINTAINED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-7-530 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by an act of 2008 bearing ratification number , is further amended to read:

"Section 7-7-530.    (A)    In York County there are the following voting precincts:

Adnah

Airport

Allison Creek

Anderson Road

Bethany

Bethel No. 1

Bethel No. 2

Bethel School

Bowling Green

Bullocks Creek

Cannon Mill

Catawba

Clover No. 1

Clover No. 2

(B)    The precinct lines defining the precincts in subsection (A) are as shown on the official map on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-91-08 P-91-08A and as shown on copies provided to the Registration and Elections Commission for York County by the Office of Research and Statistics.

(C)    The polling places for the precincts in subsection (A) must be determined by the Registration and Elections Commission for York County with the approval of a majority of the York County Legislative Delegation."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
