A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE THE PARENT VOLUNTEERS SERVING AS OFFICERS OF THE BERKELEY INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATION AND THANK THEM FOR THEIR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION.

Whereas, the parent volunteers serving as officers of the Berkeley Intermediate School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), Mrs. Eva Herndon, president for four years, Mrs. Teresa Mizzell, vice president for four years, and Mrs. Cherie Greenwood, treasurer for one year, have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, dedication, and resourcefulness in carrying out their duties; and

Whereas, their extensive labors have played a major part in providing wholesome, enjoyable experiences for the school's students, staff, and parents, the Town of Moncks Corner, and all of Berkeley County; and

Whereas, through their hard work, the school has obtained new playground equipment, a covered walkway, gold-medal awards, limousine rides through fundraisers, a youth fest, student-attendance door posters, and numerous items given away to parents, students, and staff at each PTO meeting; and

Whereas, Berkeley Intermediate School has become a greater school, an even better place for children to have fun, explore, and reach their highest learning potential because of these PTO officer members and their involvement in school activities; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives is pleased to join with Mrs. Madelin Gibson Guy, principal of Berkeley Intermediate School, and Mr. Michael Shaw, the school's assistant principal, in recognizing and commending these parents for their commitment of time, effort, energy, and expertise as officers of the Berkeley Intermediate School Parent-Teacher Organization, and the members extend best wishes to each of them for continued success in all future endeavors. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize the parent volunteers serving as officers of the Berkeley Intermediate School Parent-Teacher Organization and thank them for their hard work and dedication.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Berkeley Intermediate School.
