TO AMEND SECTION 56-1-5, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT'S ELECTRONIC AND PAPER-TESTING FORMS MUST BE PRODUCED IN AN ENGLISH-ONLY FORMAT UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW OR REGULATION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 56-1-5 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding at the end:
"(G) The department's electronic and paper-testing forms must be produced in an English-only format unless otherwise required by federal law or regulation."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
