A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY REPEALING SECTION 16-17-710 RELATING TO THE UNLAWFUL SALE OF TICKETS TO AN ATHLETIC CONTEST OR ENTERTAINMENT OR AMUSEMENT EVENT AT A PRICE IN EXCESS OF ONE DOLLAR ABOVE THE PRICE ORIGINALLY CHARGED; AND BY REPEALING SECTION 39-5-36 RELATING TO THE UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICE OF KNOWINGLY PURCHASING TICKETS TO AN EVENT WITH THE INTENTION TO RESELL THE TICKETS IN EXCESS OF ONE DOLLAR OF THE PRICE ORIGINALLY CHARGED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 16-17-710 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION    2.    Section 39-5-36 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION    3.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
