A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF TANINGRA PATRIESE FRIERSON-CAESAR, OF CLARENDON COUNTY, AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Taningra Patriese Frierson-Caesar, of Clarendon County, on February 29, 2008; and

Whereas, the daughter of Reverend William James Frierson, Sr., and Reverend Delaney Kay Walker Frierson, Taningra Patriese Frierson-Caesar was born on May 23, 1974, in Houston, Texas, and grew up in Manning, where she graduated from Manning High School in 1993; and

Whereas, having received her certification from Victoria Community College in Victoria, Texas, she was a qualified nurse's assistant and worked at Citizens Medical Center and Twin Pines Rehabilitation Center in Victoria, as well as MAU at the Bosch facility in North Charleston; and

Whereas, a committed believer in Jesus Christ, Taningra Frierson-Caesar faithfully served in Holly Hills' Lovely Hill Baptist Church choir until her health deteriorated. Like her father, she was a talented athlete, especially as a distance runner, and represented her high school in that capacity. During her track and field career, she was a region champion and advanced to the lower-state championship on two occasions; and

Whereas, she leaves a daughter, Delaney Kennae Frierson; a son, Peyton William Frierson; her beloved parents and four siblings; and a host of other relatives and friends; and

Whereas, Taningra Patriese Frierson-Caesar will be remembered for her smile, sense of humor, patience, and tenacity. Greatly respected for her courage in facing difficult circumstances, she touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Taningra Patriese Frierson-Caesar, of Clarendon County, and extend the deepest sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Reverend William James Frierson, Sr., for the family.
