TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 2-7-67 SO AS TO REQUIRE A BILL OR JOINT RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY OR PERMANENTLY, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ADDING, AMENDING, OR REPEALING ANY PROVISION OF LAW RELATING TO THE EXPENDITURE OF STATE FUNDS TO RECEIVE A RECORDED ROLL-CALL VOTE BEFORE IT PASSES THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 1, Chapter 7, Title 2 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 2-7-67. A bill or joint resolution which temporarily or permanently, directly or indirectly, adds, amends, or repeals any provision of law relating to the expenditure of state funds must receive a recorded roll-call vote before the bill or joint resolution passes the House of Representatives and the Senate."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
