A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE ROBIN S. MILL, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF BEREA MIDDLE SCHOOL, FOR HER DEDICATION AND HARD WORK AS AN EDUCATOR, AND TO CONGRATULATE HER FOR BEING SELECTED THE 2008 MIDDLE LEVEL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS.

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina are pleased to learn that Robin Mill has served as an educator for over seventeen years and was named the South Carolina Association of School Administrators Middle Level Assistant Principal of the Year; and

Whereas, in preparation to become a model teacher, Robin Mill earned a bachelor of arts in Spanish from Florida State University and a master of arts in education from Furman University; and

Whereas, before becoming the middle school principal of Berea Middle School in 2003, she taught Spanish at Mauldin High School and J. L. Mann High School; and

Whereas, the site coordinator for the Youth Court, Robin Mill also serves as lead administrator for the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports Program at Berea Middle School, which has decreased discipline referrals by more that four hundred in the past two years by focusing on students and faculty "doing the right thing"; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are grateful for Robin S. Mill and her devoted and exemplary service in educating the youth of South Carolina and wish her continued success in her career. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, honor and recognize Robin S. Mill, Assistant Principal of Berea Middle School, for her dedication and hard work as an educator, and congratulate her for being selected the 2008 Middle Level Assistant Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Robin S. Mill.
