A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND JESSIE M. BELVIN, OF LEE COUNTY, UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT, FOR FORTY YEARS OF SERVICE IN THE LOWER LEE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAFETERIA, AND TO WISH HER HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are profoundly grateful to Jessie M. Belvin for forty years of service as a cafeteria worker and manager at Lower Lee Elementary School; and

Whereas, a native of Lee County, Jessie Belvin served under nine superintendents of the Lee County schools and under six foodservice directors during those forty years; and

Whereas, during two of the years that she worked in the cafeteria, she had the added duty of driving a school bus route to get children safely to and from school; and

Whereas, to express their fond affection for their mother, her adoring children have planned a lovely retirement party to celebrate both her friendship with so many and her retirement from the school she has served so long; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Jessie M. Belvin has served the Lower Lee Elementary School so faithfully for forty years and that she will enjoy a much-deserved retirement. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and commend Jessie M. Belvin, of Lee County, upon the occasion of her retirement, for forty years of service in the Lower Lee Elementary School cafeteria, and wish her happiness in all her future endeavors.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Jessie M. Belvin.
