A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 40-11-360, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO EXEMPTIONS FROM THE APPLICATION OF CHAPTER 11, TITLE 40 (CONTRACTORS LICENSING ACT), SO AS TO EXEMPT A PROJECT IF IT IS A METAL FARM BUILDING LESS THAN FIVE THOUSAND SQUARE FEET USED ONLY FOR LIVESTOCK OR STORAGE.

Amend Title To Conform

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 40-11-360(A)(7) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(7)    An owner constructing a wood-framed farm structure building or portable storage building with less than five thousand square feet of floor space and not used for human habitation or office facilities used only for livestock or storage;"

SECTION    2.    Section 40-11-360(B)(4) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(4)    The project is a wood-framed farm building or portable storage building less than five thousand square feet used solely only for livestock or storage."

SECTION    3.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
