To whom was referred a Joint Resolution (S. 784) to provide that if a General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 has not taken effect by July 1, 2007, then the appropriations and provisos contained, etc., respectfully

A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO PROVIDE THAT IF A GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 HAS NOT TAKEN EFFECT BY JULY 1, 2007, THEN THE APPROPRIATIONS AND PROVISOS CONTAINED IN ACT 397 OF 2006 ARE AUTHORIZED FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008, UNTIL A GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 TAKES EFFECT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    If a General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 has not taken effect by July 1, 2007, then the appropriations contained in Part IA and the provisions relating to the expenditure of these funds contained in Part IB of Act 397 of 2006 are authorized for Fiscal Year 2007-2008, beginning July 1, 2007, and shall remain in full force and effect until a General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 takes effect.

SECTION    2.    This joint resolution takes effect July 1, 2007.
