The Senate assembled at 12:00 Noon, the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the PRESIDENT.
A quorum being present, the proceedings were opened with a devotion by the Chaplain as follows:
The Psalmist wrote:
"As for mortals, their days are like grass; they flourish like a flower of the field; for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more." (Psalm 103:15-16)
Let us pray, friends:
Lord, today we especially seek to honor those who have served You valiantly, yet who sadly are with us no longer. We think of Your servant, Mary Nell Kreps, who cared faithfully as nurse for this Senate for twenty years. And there are numerous others who also once labored nobly and well here in this place. We are thankful for them all, O God.
Be with each of us, too, that we might serve You, Lord, as well as the people of this State with equal dedication and concern all of our days. In Your name we pray, dear Lord.
Amen.
On motion of Senator SETZLER, with unanimous consent, the Senate stood for a moment of silence in memory of Mary Nell Kreps.

I support Sen. SHEHEEN's local option amendment to S. 103 that was adopted on Thursday, March 13, 2007. Unfortunately, Sen.
