The Senate assembled at 11:00 A.M., the hour to which it stood adjourned, and was called to order by the ACTING PRESIDENT, SENATOR COURSON. (This is a Statewide Session day established under the provisions of Senate Rule 1B. Members not having scheduled committee or subcommittee meetings may be in their home districts without effect on their session attendance record.)

The following Bill was read the third time and, having received three readings in both Houses, it was ordered that the title be changed to that of an Act and enrolled for Ratification:

H. 5300 (Word version) -- Ways and Means Committee: A BILL TO AMEND ACT 310 OF 2008, THE GENERAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009, SO AS TO ENACT TARGETED REDUCTIONS IN GENERAL FUND APPROPRIATIONS AND TO MAKE NECESSARY CONFORMING PROVISO AMENDMENTS AND PROVIDE FOR OTHER RELATED MATTERS.

Pursuant to an invitation the Honorable Speaker and House of Representatives appeared in the Senate Chamber on October 24, 2008, at 1:30 P.M. and the following Acts and Joint Resolutions were ratified:
