The House assembled at 2:00 p.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Isaiah 59:1: "Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear."
Let us pray. Gracious God, Your blessings are too numerous to count. So, bless us now as these Representatives make decisions that may help our State and her people to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, and all who labor in these Halls of Government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. Hear our prayer, O God. Amen.
