The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Psalm 107:1: "Give thanks to the Lord, for the Lord is good, for God's mercy endures forever."
Let us pray. O Lord our God, You have blessed us in so many ways we cannot even count them. Thank You for Your love and caring during our work days this week. Grant us a restful weekend and revive us again for another week of work and service to You and the people of this State. Give us the desire to be the best we can be and help our fellow workers along the way. Grant us peace in our daily life. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, and all who labor in these Halls of Government. Protect our defenders of freedom at home and abroad as they protect us. Hear us, O Lord, as we pray. Amen.
