Deliberations were opened with prayer by Representative J. H. Neal, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Deuteronomy 6:13: "Fear the Lord your God, serve him only and take your oaths in His Name."
Let us pray. Lord God, You have given strength, courage, and wisdom to these Representatives and staff. Give them a restful time now as they complete their work and return home. Guide them in all they do for the sake of the people of this State. Bless on our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, and all who labor in these Halls of Government.
