To whom was referred a Bill (H. 3333) to amend Section 14-1-206, as amended, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to additional assessments imposed by general sessions courts, so as to provide an amount, etc., respectfully

TO AMEND SECTION 14-1-206, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENTS IMPOSED BY GENERAL SESSIONS COURTS, SO AS TO PROVIDE AN AMOUNT TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY; AND TO AMEND SECTION 14-1-207, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENTS IMPOSED BY MAGISTRATES COURTS, SO AS TO PROVIDE AN AMOUNT TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 14-1-206(C)(2) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 353 of 2008, is further amended to read:
"(2) 14.74 percent to the Law Enforcement Training Council South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy for training in the fields of law enforcement and criminal justice;"
SECTION 2. Section 14-1-207(C)(2) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 353 of 2008, is further amended to read:
"(2) 20.72 percent to the Law Enforcement Training Council South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy for training in the fields of law enforcement and criminal justice;"
SECTION 3. This act takes effect July 1, 2009.
