Indicates New Matter

The House assembled at 10:00 a.m..
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 27:13: "I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."
Let us pray. God, our Rock, help us cling to You when things get a bit difficult. Help us realize You lead, guide, and protect us through the days and nights. Encourage us to care for others, as they care for us. May we trust in You to carry us through the perils of life. Provide for us a safe and relaxing weekend, with renewal for another week. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
