The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Proverbs 16:26: "The appetite of workers works for them; their hunger urges them on."
Let us pray. Lord God, You have given us the privilege of work. Direct us in using our talents and abilities for the good of the people we serve. Give us the strength for service. Be with us, O Lord, as we enter the weekend. Grant us rest and relaxation. Continue Your blessings on our Nation, State, and her leaders. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
