A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE LIBERTY HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITIVE CHEER TEAM OF PICKENS COUNTY UPON WINNING THE 2011 SOUTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL CLASS AA STATE CHEER CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE, AND TO HONOR THE TEAM AND HEAD COACH MISSY RICKEN ON A SUPERLATIVE SEASON.

Whereas, the Liberty High School Varsity Competitive Cheer Team of Pickens County were Region 1 AA Champions for the seventh consecutive year and the 2011 AA State Champions for the sixth consecutive year; and

Whereas, the team was one of twelve teams competing for the state championship in November 2011 winning with a score of 278; and

Whereas, led by Coach Missy Ricken - Region Coach of the Year, team members include Erica Bolding, Lexi Bolding, Kayce Booth, Karsen Brown, La'Quisha Chamblee, Miranda Dalton, Cassie Dameron, Kaitlyn Dover, Raleigh Felton, Whitney Goodine, Kerstin Hawkins, Savannah Ladd, Courtney Lesley, BAM Meade, Katrina Moore, Ariel Ray, Hope Ricken, Brianna Roper, Liz Ruiz, Alexis Shockley, Megan Smith, Lexy Tripp, and Susie Whitmire; and

Whereas, the members of the Senate, realizing the labor and sacrifices these young athletes have made in order to reach their goals, take great pleasure in commending and recognizing them for another successful year of competitive cheering. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, congratulate the Liberty High School Varsity Competitive Cheer Team upon winning the 2011 South Carolina High School Class AA State Cheer Championship title, and to honor the team and Head Coach Missy Ricken on a superlative season.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Liberty High School and Head Coach Missy Ricken.
