TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-11-2250 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES SHALL GIVE PREFERENCE TO RESIDENT HUNTERS WHEN ISSUING SPECIAL PERMITS FOR HUNTING IN CATEGORY ONE DESIGNATED WATERFOWL AREAS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 10, Chapter 11, Title 50 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 50-11-2250. The Department of Natural Resources shall give preference to licensed resident hunters over licensed nonresident hunters when issuing its special permits for hunting in category one designated waterfowl areas through its annual computerized draw."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
