TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY, RELATING TO APPLICATION FOR ISSUANCE OR RE-ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATION, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 4374, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE 1976 CODE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The regulations of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, relating to Application for Issuance or Re-Issuance of Certification, designated as Regulation Document Number 4374, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the 1976 Code, are approved.
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
S.C. Code Section 23-47-20(C)(15) authorizes the Law Enforcement Training Council to make regulations necessary for the training of telecommunication operators or dispatchers. The proposed additions to the regulations will add a section to make 911 operators' process for application for issuance or re-issuance of certification comparable to S.C. Reg. 38-002.
Notice of Drafting for the proposed amendments was published in the State Register on January 25, 2013.
