VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF WILEY A. MOZINGO OF BISHOPVILLE AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Wiley A. Mozingo of Bishopville on January 27, 2013, at the venerable age of ninety-three; and
Whereas, born the son of Reverend and Mrs. Wiley Alton Mozingo, Sr., W.A. Mozingo was a native of Lee County; and
Whereas, a young man of patriotic commitment, he heeded the call of his country to serve in World War II as a member of the United States Army; and
Whereas, he was a farmer and retired from the Lee County Sheriff's Department after twenty-four years of dedicated service; and
Whereas, W.A. Mozingo, a man of faith, found spiritual strength as a member of Elliott Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years; and
Whereas, he leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of sixty-six years, Clara Perritt Mozingo; three daughters, Becky Bredeau, Sue "Joey" Boyce, and Jackie Moore; a son, Hebert Mozingo; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Wiley A. Mozingo of Bishopville and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Mrs. Clara Perritt Mozingo for the family.
