The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Psalm 69:15: "Do not let the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up, or the pit close its mouth over me."
Let us pray. Comfort and sustain us, O Lord, as we come to the end of another week. Come to our aid and protect us from all harm and danger that may hinder us from our work. Grant us rest and relaxation for the weekend. Bless our Nation, State, and those who lead us in our daily life. Protect our defenders of freedom, at home and abroad, as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
At 10:10 a.m. the House, in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER, adjourned to meet at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, March 5.
