To whom was referred a Bill (H. 4527) to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 53-3-195 so as to establish "A Day of Recognition for Veterans' Spouses and Families", etc., respectfully

Governor's Office
The Governor's Office indicates that this bill will have no fiscal impact on the state general fund or on federal and/or other funds.
The Senate and House of Representatives
Both bodies indicate there is no fiscal impact with the adoption of this bill.

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 53-3-195 SO AS TO ESTABLISH "A DAY OF RECOGNITION FOR VETERANS' SPOUSES AND FAMILIES" ON THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING DAY EACH YEAR.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Chapter 3, Title 53 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 53-3-195. In gratitude and acknowledgment of the many and varied contributions of the spouses and families of this country's veterans and their sacrifices for the benefit of the freedom we so richly enjoy, the Friday after Thanksgiving Day each year is designated as 'A Day of Recognition for Veterans' Spouses and Families' in South Carolina."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
