TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-370, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN LEE COUNTY, SO AS TO REDESIGNATE FOUR PRECINCTS AND REVISE THE BOUNDARIES OF SIX EXISTING PRECINCTS BY COMBINING THEM INTO THREE PRECINCTS AND TO DESIGNATE THE MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE BOUNDARIES OF LEE COUNTY VOTING PRECINCTS AS REDESIGNATED AND REVISED BY THIS ACT MAY BE FOUND AS ESTABLISHED BY THE OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND STATISTICS OF THE STATE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD, OR ITS SUCCESSOR AGENCY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-370 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 213 of 2004, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-370. (A)(1) In Lee County there are the following voting precincts:
Ashland/Stokes Bridge
Ashwood
Bishopville No. 1
Bishopville No. 2
Bishopville No. 3
Bishopville No. 4
Cedar Creek
Cypress
Elliott
Hickory Hill
Ionia
Lynchburg
Manville
Mt. Clio
Rattlesnake Springs
Schrocks Mill/Lucknow
South Lynchburg
Spring Hill
St. Charles
St. Matthews
Turkey Creek
Woodrow.
(2) The division line between the voting precincts at Bishopville is Main Street and Church Street, Bishopville No. 1 being the southwest corner, Bishopville No. 2 the southeast corner, Bishopville No. 3 the northeast corner, and Bishopville No. 4 the northwest corner.
(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on maps filed with the Clerk of Court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Office of Research and Statistics of the State Budget and Control Board, or its successor agency, designated as document P-61-04 P-61-14.
(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Lee County Board of Elections and Registration upon approval of the Lee County Legislative Delegation."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
