TO CONGRATULATE BRETT ALLEN HUBLER ON A NEW CAREER OPPORTUNITY AND TO THANK HIM FOR DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE FISH, GAME & FORESTRY COMMITTEE.
Whereas, Brett Hubler joined the South Carolina Senate as research director for the Fish, Game & Forestry Committee January 2, 2013, and has dutifully served the committee in this capacity. In addition to his role in the Fish, Game & Forestry Committee, Brett also served as a staff attorney for the Judicial Merit Selection Committee, an attorney for the Charleston County Legislative Delegation, and as an acting attorney for the Senate Judiciary Committee; and
Whereas, Brett is a native of Gaithersburg, Maryland. He attended Wake Forest University where he earned undergraduate degrees in economics and communications. Brett earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as a member of the South Carolina Law Review; and
Whereas, prior to joining the Senate, Brett served as a law clerk to Judge Paula H. Thomas of the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He then worked as a staff attorney at the South Carolina Court of Appeals; and
Whereas, Brett has accepted a position as an associate at Troutman Sanders in Charlotte, North Carolina and his last day with the Senate will be Friday, January 16, 2015; and
Whereas, the members of the Senate are grateful for the outstanding work that Brett has contributed. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Brett and wish him well as he embarks on this new journey.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Brett Hubler.
