VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR FAIRFIELD HEALTHCARE FOR ITS EXEMPLARY SERVICE TO ITS RESIDENTS AND TO CONGRATULATE THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND STAFF AND THE RESIDENTS AS THEY CELEBRATE NATIONAL ACTIVITY PROFESSIONALS WEEK.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Fairfield Healthcare will celebrate National Activity Professionals Week, beginning February 2, 2015; and
Whereas, an annual event, the weeklong activity with the theme Improving Quality of Life in Long Term Care promotes issues dealing with the quality of life for residents living at Fairfield Healthcare and provides an opportunity for others to appreciate the quality of life available for those who choose to live in a skilled facility; and
Whereas, many volunteers and visitors from the community participate in and promote the events which are filled with fun and laughter; and
Whereas, the week's events will include the traditional coconut roll, Casino Day, Western Day line dancing, all of which are designed to inform the public about the gratifying life possible in a skilled care facility; and
Whereas, currently there are over one hundred residents living at Fairfield Healthcare, and many of them are under the age of sixty, living full and meaningful lives; and
Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives appreciates the standard of excellence set at Fairfield Healthcare and, during National Activity Professionals Week, the members celebrate with those associated with the facility the quality of life afforded to the residents there. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Fairfield Healthcare for its exemplary service to its residents and congratulate the healthcare professionals and staff and the residents as they celebrate National Activity Professionals Week.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Frances Maddox, Activity Director of Fairfield Healthcare.
