VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF LEVER WILLIAM "BILLY" BROWN OF BISHOPVILLE AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Lever William "Billy" Brown of Bishopville, who passed away on June 26, 2015, at the age of seventy-five; and
Whereas, born in Lee County, Billy Brown was a son of the late Lever Wilburn Brown and the late Eliza Stokes Brown; and
Whereas, a man of faith, he served his God as a member of Calvary Baptist Church; and
Whereas, as a well-respected local entrepreneur, Mr. Brown ran a convenience store in the Cedar Creek community for forty-six years; and
Whereas, he was a big fan of the New York Yankees, NASCAR, and the Earnhardts. Mr. Brown loved bird watching, especially when the purple martins were in residence, and always looked forward to their coming each year; and
Whereas, Lever William Brown leaves to cherish his memory his beloved family: his wife, Sybol Ann Arledge Brown; his son, Derrick William Brown (Connie); two grandchildren, Dillon William Brown and Dayton Andrew Brown; a sister, Millie B. Scott; a number of special nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express their profound sorrow upon the death of Lever William "Billy" Brown of Bishopville and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Sybol Ann Arledge Brown for the family.
