The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:

Our thought for today is from Psalm 37:4: "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

Let us pray. Grant to these, Your people, who faithfully serve, that they may continue to give of themselves for the good of all. Bestow upon them Your wisdom and vision to fulfill their mission. Protect them as they go into the weekend and restore their strength for next week. Those who are sick, touch them with Your healing. Bless our Nation, State, and all lead us. Give them Your blessings and peace. Protect those who protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors who have suffered and sacrificed for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
