The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Psalm 48:10: "Your name, O God, like your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth."
Let us pray. Most gracious God, thank You for Your love and care of these people who represent the citizens of this State and those who support them. Continue to guide this House forever, so we might do Your work with our hands. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who labor in these Halls of Government. Give them rest and relaxation over the weekend that they may be refreshed for another week of service. Protect our defenders of freedom. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of those who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord of grace, hear our prayers. Amen.
