TO RECOGNIZE AND COMMEND NANCY CAVE, NORTH COAST OFFICE DIRECTOR OF THE COASTAL CONSERVATION LEAGUE, FOR FIFTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE TO IMPROVING WATER AND AIR QUALITY, WILDLIFE ABUNDANCE, AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN COMMUNITIES ALONG THE SOUTH CAROLINA COAST, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives recognize Nancy Cave's tireless commitment to the citizens, environment, and wildlife in Georgetown and Horry Counties; and
Whereas, working with citizens and elected officials, she helped protect the coast from offshore drilling in the South Atlantic; and
Whereas, Nancy Cave dedicated countless hours towards protecting South Carolina's waterways and drinking water supplies from coal ash pollution, and she furthered coastal protections by advocating for responsible beachfront management and retreat policies; and
Whereas, under her skillful leadership as the North Coast Office Director for the Coastal Conservation League, Nancy Cave helped protect the pristine Waccamaw Wildlife Refuge from negative environmental impacts associated with damaging projects; and
Whereas, Nancy Cave is active in her community serving on boards of several civic and academic organizations. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives recognize and commend Nancy Cave, North Coast Office Director of the Coastal Conservation League, for fifteen years of service to improving water and air quality, wildlife abundance, and the quality of life in communities along the South Carolina coast, and to wish her continued success and happiness in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Nancy Cave.
