TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-40, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF VOTING PRECINCTS IN AIKEN COUNTY, SO AS TO ADD FIVE PRECINCTS, AND TO REDESIGNATE THE MAP NUMBER ON WHICH THE NAMES OF THESE PRECINCTS MAY BE FOUND AND MAINTAINED BY THE REVENUE AND FISCAL AFFAIRS OFFICE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-40 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 130 of 2014, is further amended to read:
"Section 7-7-40. (A) In Aiken County there are the following voting precincts:

(B) The Precinct lines defining the precincts provided in subsection (A) of this section are as shown on the official map prepared by and on file with the Office of Research and Statistics of the Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office designated as document P-03-14 P-03-15 and as shown on certified copies of the official map provided by the office to the State Election Commission and the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Aiken County.
(C) The Polling places for the precincts provided in subsection (A) of this section must be established by the Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Aiken County with the approval of a majority of the county legislative delegation."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
