The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Daniel 6:26B: "He is the living God, enduring forever."
Let us pray. Praise and thanksgiving we give to You, O Lord, for continuing Your love and care for us as Your people. Make us Your people in doing what is right and pleasing to You. Keep us safe and healthy as we go into the weekend. Give us relaxation and rest for continued service to the people of South Carolina and our Nation. Look in favor upon our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all who contribute to this State. Protect our first responders and those who defend us at home and abroad. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our men and women who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers. Amen.
