The House assembled at 10:00 a.m.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by Rev. Charles E. Seastrunk, Jr., as follows:
Our thought for today is from Isaiah 63:7: "I will recount the gracious deeds of the Lord, the praiseworthy acts of the Lord, because of all that the Lord has done for us."
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and protection through this week. We are grateful for our system of government that allows us to work openly for the people of this State. We give our thanks for those who support these Representatives and ask for Your continued guidance. Grant these folk a safe and rewarding weekend. Bless our Nation, President, State, Governor, Speaker, staff, and all those who contribute to this great cause. Bless and protect our defenders of freedom and first responders as they protect us. Heal the wounds, those seen and those hidden, of our brave warriors who suffer and sacrifice for our freedom. Lord, hear our prayers. Amen.
