TO AMEND SECTION 56-1-3350, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES SPECIAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT ONE IDENTIFICATION CARD MUST BE ISSUED FREE TO CERTAIN PERSONS PER ISSUANCE CYCLE, AND TO PROVIDE THAT A FIVE DOLLAR FEE MUST BE CHARGED TO REPLACE A CARD BEFORE ITS EXPIRATION DATE.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 56-1-3350(C)(2) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 147 of 2012, is further amended to read:
"(2) An One identification card must be issued free to a person aged seventeen years or older per issuance cycle. A five dollar fee must be charged to replace a card before its expiration date."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
