A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 16-3-1180, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO CERTAIN VICTIM AWARDS, SO AS TO INCREASE THE BURIAL EXPENSE FROM FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS TO SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 16-3-1180(A)(5) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(5)    burial expenses not to exceed four six thousand five hundred

dollars."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
