A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. AND MRS. JAMES LUPTON OF BERKELEY COUNTY ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, AND TO EXTEND BEST WISHES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF BLESSING AND FULFILLMENT.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Brenda and James Lupton will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary at a celebration to be held in Goose Creek on Saturday, March 2, 2019; and

Whereas, in 1969 on the first day of March when tulips and daffodils begin to raise their cheerful hues and blooms aloft, Brenda and James pledged to one another a lifetime of love and sharing as they were joined in holy matrimony in Sumter; and

Whereas, together Mr. and Mrs. Lupton reared four fine sons: Robert Lupton, Jeff Lupton, Tony Lupton, and Chris Lupton; and

Whereas, they have been blessed to see the continuation of their loving legacy in their nine adoring grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and

Whereas, no success on earth authenticates a life as does a marriage that endures the test of time and grows stronger with each passing year; and

Whereas, Mr. Lupton has learned the veracity of the proverb, "Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord," and he now considers one of his crowning achievements as having had the good sense to marry his beloved Brenda; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to honor this son and daughter of South Carolina at the celebration of a half century of marriage, and the members join with their family and friends in congratulating them on reaching this extraordinary milestone. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. and Mrs. James Lupton of Berkeley County on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend best wishes for many more years of blessing and fulfillment.
