VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO CELEBRATE THE RIVER BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY CHEER TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM FOR BEING NAMED THE 2019 SOUTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE GAME DAY INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
Whereas, with precision and grace, the River Bluff High School competitive cheer team proved its mettle and earned gold at the competition, held at the University of South Carolina in Aiken on Saturday, February 16, 2019; and
Whereas, the River Bluff team members performed their choreography complete with transitions and a high degree of difficulty with keen attention to the execution of their jumps, stunts, and tumbling in order to earn the top overall score; and
Whereas, the Lady Gators also competed in the 2018 South Carolina High School League State Championship competition held at the Colonial Life Arena on Saturday, November 17, 2018 and were named runner-up in the Class AAAAA division; and
Whereas, in a sport that exacts precision, grace, and strength, Coach Haney and her skilled coaching staff maximized their own experience and training to hone a championship-caliber team and teach these athletes lessons that will prove invaluable through life both on and off the mats; and
Whereas, proud of the fine achievements of these young athletes, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives take great pleasure in applauding the River Bluff cheer team and wish its members much continued success in the days ahead. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, celebrate the River Bluff High School varsity cheer team, coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and congratulate them for being named the 2019 South Carolina High School League Game Day Invitational champions.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the principal, Dr. Luke Clamp, and Head Varsity Coach Koren Haney.
