VERSIONS OF THIS BILL
TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTIONS 1-3-495 AND 25-1-470 SO AS TO SET FORTH THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND PROCEDURES BY WHICH THE GOVERNOR MAY LAWFULLY DECLARE A STATE OF EMERGENCY.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Article 7, Chapter 3, Title 1 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 1-3-495. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the following items apply to any gubernatorial proclamation of an emergency:
(1)
(2) ."
SECTION 2. Article 4, Chapter 1, Title 25 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 25-1-470. Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the following items apply to any gubernatorial proclamation of an emergency:
(1)
(2) ."
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
